A PANCREATITIS CASE TREATED WITH HYOSCIAMUS NIGER: Patient, female, J. G. M. , born on October, 30, 1986, looked for homeopath treatment for a bronchial ashtma in 1990. She had in her H. P. P: Subtle exanthema, bronchial asthma and atopic eczema. She was gentle, very affective, loving, but she showed a very marking jealousy. She was very suspicious related to what was offered her to eat. If she had to taste some food, she asked her mother if she could; she refused to taste new foods. She arrived at the consultory always laughing to me, seducing me, very seductive. If she fought with someone, later she would come to please the person. She fought very hard against sleep, she used to wake up several times during her sleep. She was too loving, until she got angry, then she would really fight. She had very little thirst. If she had a toy and a child was crying, she would give it to the child to stop crying, even it was her favorite toy. A lot of difficulty with the separation, especially get separated from her mother. Her jeaulousy was so strong that she managed to end up her mother's second marriage by maltreating the daughters husband so much, she made the relationship of her mother with the second husband, impossible. With this story, she used Pulsatilla during some time and then Lachesis, medication with which her asthma disappeared. In 1994, she presented a condition of epidemic parotiditis, in which she had a fever of 39º degrees. Evoluted after one week with pukes, abdomen pain in bars, collapse of the general state. In the physical exam normoruddy mucosas detached themselves, hypohydrated, free neck, cardiac and pulmonary auscultation with no alterations. Painful abdomen, prejudiced exam by the lack of cooperation from the child. Armpit temperature: 39, 5º C. Amylase: 236. Lipase: 2390. Leucocyte exam: 5000- 0- 1- 0- 0- 3- 34- 58- 4; being, this way, diagnosed Sharp Pancreatitis. She was medicated with Lachesis 1MFC (medication wich se used for 4 years), with no answer. Doses of 10MFC and 50MFC were followed of the same medicament with intervals of 4 hours between them, equally without answer. Then the mother talks about a patients fever delirium very meaningful: "Mother, everything is small!" Until this moment, she was taking, as homeopathical symptoms, the jeaulousy, the illusion of being poisoned, loving, little thirst and the sleep. In this moment, with the appearing during a sharp situation of a new symptom, i related this symptom to the repertorization and i could be able to make the differential diagnosis between the rubric corresponding medications, as follows: Mind: delusion -Small, things appear: aur, hyos, nate, plat, puls, staph, stram, thuj. It was a rare symptom, strange and peculiar, very characteristic and, this way, i choose the medication that best covered the patients symptoms totality: Hyosciamus niger. Prescribed one paper of 1MFC. Three hours after the dose, there was a decline on axillar temperature, puke reversion, diminishing of the abdomen pain that disappeared after the dose of Hyosciamus niger 10MFC. The patient takes use of Hyosciamus until today. The posterior accompanyment made with the gastrologyst showed there were no pancreas sequels, with the help of ultra-sonographys and laboratorial exams for a period of one year. Dr. Paulo Hoffmann
